Confirmation Conference is coming up and our theme is “Becoming a Gift to the World.” I am pretty pumped to draw in a HUGE crowd for this wonderful Saturday! We have been planning since November, and it is pretty amazing to see everything come together. We welcome prayers at this time (please!). Being in charge of programming is super nerve-wracking, but I am confident that things will all turn out well. At least one way or another!
We had our last meeting, and now it’s go-time. Lots to do, but just reflecting on how far we have come over the past few months, makes me express gratitude to God for this opportunity. In this time of Lent, I think it is wonderful that our Confirmation students have a moment to reflect on how their gifts and how who they are, are gifts in themselves, to the church and to the world!
After having my own reflection on different gifts within the church, I have identified my gifts as: Administration, Exhortation, Music-Vocal, and Writing. I am grateful for these gifts, and I certainly see these gifts instrumental to my role in the church and in the world. I look forward to learning more about myself alongside the Confirmandi. I am never done learning about myself or my role in this world. And thank God for that. #missionneverends
